RUBY, Barbara Ruth-Passed away peacefully after a short illness, at the Burnaby General Hospital, in British Columbia on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in her 73rd year.
Beloved wife of Ronald Ruby. Loving mother of daughter Lynda and her husband Daniel Bond of Coquitlam, B.C., son Darrell Ruby and his wife Michele of Clinton, Ontario and son Kevin Ruby of Stratford, Ontario. Cherished grandmother to Christopher, Alexander and Taylor Bond, of Coquitlam, B.C., Lucas Ruby of New Hamburg, Ontario and Jordan Wilson of Ottawa Ontario.
She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) Marshall, and sisters Doreen Moyer and Audrey and her husband Bill Leslie, all of Ayr, Ontario.
She is predeceased by her loving mother Elvena Marshall (nee: Kaiser) and father Wardlaw Marshall.
Ruth was born in Galt, Ontario on August 27, 1940 and grew up in Roseville before marrying Ron to raise a family. She worked with Ron in their business, Tavistock Sewage Disposal, and worked as an administrative assistant in local area feed mills. She lived in Tavistock, Stratford, New Hamburg and Kitchener before moving to Coquitlam, B.C. to retire.
Her remains will be returned to her home town for internment at the Roseville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Ontario for family and friends.
